A Dreadful Place
I enter into this dreadful place, all aglow
with the golden orange hue of Your presence
I gasp in awe at the breathtakingly beautiful and serene reflection of your effervescence
Your awesome wonder, your fiery-ice
The manifoldness of your Godhead... trapped in this one moment in time
I experience the stillness of you
in unison with your unquantifiable power
Entering the calm river of your presence
Sitting mesmerised and enchanted in your still waters
At the juncture when time freezes
...in your liquid fires
I lay me down to sleep in meadows so green
They are three-dimensional
I am totally enmeshed in the warmth and love of you...I find peace
... I see me for the first time
Jacob said it is is a dreadful place where God resides
From the deepest recesses of my being erupts
unbridled bottom-deep laughter that rolls and rolls
like the waves of a gentle sea
Has God said it?
It must surely come to pass
beguiled
